Flashpoint on Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

I just watched Flashpoint on Blu-ray, my first movie I bought from Hong Kong and the PQ is superb

and fighting scenes are amazing

Best action flick I've ever seen, the realism is really good, take it from a guy who watches UFC and Pride a lot (real mix martial arts fighting). I was glad I bought this movie.

Thanks to this site http://www.asianblurayguide.com/, I can find out a lot of foreign movie if it has english subtitles and where to buy them. It looks as though all movies from Hong Kong has English subtitles. I really hope that Japan follows this trend because there are a few movies I want already from Japan but no english subtitles

I thought the last 30 minutes of the movie was fantastic. What a long and awesome fight sequence. Though I wouldn't use realism as a word to describe this flick...lol.

Also, Invisible Target is pretty good. it has Jackie Chans' kid in it.

True, there were some scenes you're like, how did the heck did he survive?

The way they hit each other looks pretty real though.

As for Invisible Target, I should be getting that this week. I'll also be picking up CJ7 and Assembly when it comes out on Blu-ray.

my HK collection on bluray is Infernal Affairs , flash point , dragon tiger gate , invisable target. and sukiyaki western dojo from japan.

i did'nt mind it , its pretty tame compared to the directors other works which feature some pretty graphic and disturbing scenes but this just has fairly standard action movie violence.

Flashpoint is a brilliant movie and great on Blu. It could have been better though, a BD-25 with a PCM soundtrack takes up space that could have went towards PQ. There's edge enhancement all over the place. Then again, it could have been worse as well, given HK's early DVD releases.

Hi

I just watched my copy of Flashpoint Blu Ray and noticed that right before the golf fight scene the audio drops in and out a bit. I tried every audio option and it all did the same thing

. Was wondering if anyone experienced the same problem. The audio seem to be fine right after.

I watched Flash Point for the first time on Sunday, and yeah, it's pretty bloody good.

yeah its a really nice blu, and the movie is surprisingly good (story that is)

Donnie Yen is always good for action scenes
