Default WooHoo.. excited new Blu-ray owner here.

I just picked up my Panasonic DMP-BD605 this weekend from Sam's Club (membership club numbered identical to DMP-BD60). Watched "The Incredible Hulk" last night, and was mesmerized by every high definition moment. What a thrill. I'll be watching "Pineapple Express" tonight I think. Particularly loving the HD-audio pumping through my Onkyo TX-SR805 to my Paradigms. Man.. this is some good stuff. I was just excited and had to say hello. I'm sure I'll see some of you around. On a side note, I haven't updated the firmware on my Onkyo, and I know there were some early issues with a bitstream bomb.. but I am not interested in the early authored Blu-ray's I've seen on the list, so unless I have to do something, I'm not going to. It sounds like DTS corrected their authoring very early, no authorized service center in Kansas City. There is one in Omaha, NE, and have a buddy up there, so if I can I might run up there some weekday and ask if I can drop off early morning and pick up in the evening. I can't update myself I don't believe, because from my research, I have "loader version" 1.00, and it has to be at least 1.01. If not, you have to send to service center. I don't anticpate any problems, as I said most Blu-rays I will buy will be newer releases. I took HDDVD's side early in the format war.. and lost that one. But I'm glad to be Blu now.
