My S360 won't play certain movies - Blu-ray Forum

Help needed
My Sony BDP-S360 won't play Ghost Rider, House of Fury, IP Man Hong Kong version, I already updated latest firmware through ethernet cable.

Before it was playing just fine

I assume you are talking about the Sony BDP-S360? It does not have any firmware updates available. If this is the player you are referring to, what update did you put on the player?

I use the ethernet cable to update and it said " already updated"
I check the version currently is 11.1.002

Hmmm ... I have not run an ethernet cable to mine, yet, but according to Sony's website there is no available firmware for the S360. One of three things is going on: 1) The update is just not available online, yet or 2) something allowed your player to download an update that is meant for another player. I am not even sure if #2 is possible. 3) "already updated" means there is no update and you are as up to date as you can get right now.

Please keep us posted on how this turns out. I love this player so far.

I have contacted sony service, time to send back the unit for repair, Own only for 3 months. What happen to the sony quality lately especiallly PS3 and blu ray player ??????

What's wrong with the PS3? Failure rate is low... I still think that Sony is a quality name, for now.
