Default In wall cables gone bad (Need advice)

Okay so kinda of an update and re-write to make it clear, I am building a new house and its almost complete just staining the floors, I'm keeping a thread about the building of my living room and wreckroom here. In my living room i got two HDMI cables, RCA cabels, a speaker cable [for a center speaker], and a cable and satellite cable in my wall were my TV is going to be mounted (there is also 3 other speaker outlets in the room).

In my wreck-room ( basement ) i got two HDMI cables, and a cable and satellite cable in my wall were my TV is going to mounted (there is also 3 other speaker outlets in the room)

Okay got that?

In both my living room and wreck-room the HDMI cables seem to be defective.
No matter what i try my TV dose NOT receive any signal.
This is what i have tried:
I'm using a PS3 and HD satellite receiver ( Bell 6131 ) to test HDMI out put signal.
I'm using a control HDMI cable that i know works as i use it currently (6' long)
I have made sure that on both my PS3 and HD satellite receiver that the HDMI output was selected, I confirmed by using my control cable.
I have got the guy that installed it to test if any signal was going threw the cable and he used a signal boaster and still nothing, but still my control cable worked.
In my living room there is also RCA cables that were tied together with the hdmi and satellite cables and i confirmed that the RCA cables do work, so it appears the cables were not cut.
In my wreck-room i can confirm that the satellite cable dose work. ( Again cables are NOT cut).
Thank you all for helping me with this

*Im keeping my original post below to the thread makes sense

Okay so im building my house and am keeping progress updated here:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?p=2069037

But its all gone to *$#^( yesterday i test both the upstairs and downs stairs in wall cable. Both hdmi cable in the basement AND upstairs do not work but the rca cables with them do work! ill gusse there around 15-20 feet iv used both my ps3 and hdmi satellite reciver and in all four cases nothing is displayed. no audio/video nothing zip nada. i know the cabling wasent cut as the rca cables work(they were taped all together when i thread them through the studs) dose any one know what might be the problem are they to long?> did i actually just get 4 defective cables in a row?

ps: i got a electrician that dose phone lines and cable lines and things like this for 25+ years. next week or so hes going to come back and were going to cut threw the dry wall and redo it at no extra cost. but id rather not.

I don't think you got cables that are too long. I put a 25' foot cable in my wall for a projector.

Where did you get your cables from?
Do any of the connector heads have drywall stuff in them? pins bent?
Have you tried testing the in wall cable with another source?
Say you tried it with a dvd player, try it with a ps3 or blu-ray player?

How long is the length of cable from your receiver to your display? If it is too long you're probably losing your signal.

Funny thought.. you did switch your receiver to HDMI input right?

You would have to be pretty unlucky to have 4 defective cables.

Did you test the cables before putting them in the wall? It's always a great idea to do so. Otherwise can you test your components with another cable to see if the problem is the cable or is not your component configuration?

Just hook up your ps3 to a tv with the 14 - 20 ft cable before fishing it through the wall.

yeah, give this a try first. Also connect other devices too.

Sometimes its the actual device that doesn't send a strong enough signal. It might not be the cables at all.

Unless I misunderstood something, that's great news! It means the problem may not be your in-wall cables but the component set-up instead. Check the PS3 HDMI set-up, mine has been flakey at times, I fix the problem by redoing the HDMI set-up. If you can't get to HDMI set-up because you can't display using HDMI, maybe you can connect the RCA connections as well to get to the set-up screen and then try setting-up the HDMI that way. Good luck.

Im sorry you misunderstood. When i tried using my reciver to send out the HDMI signal but it did not work, the tv did not even regonize that it was connected to a hdmi source.

also the guy used a boaster to test for signal and i gusse the cables are just sh!t.

But I thought that I read that you used a different 10' HDMI cable that you know works and hooked the PS3 directly to the display and you still did not get a signal. If this is the case, then that means that it is not a cable problem (since you used a cable that you knows works), but a component setting issue correct?

Well your first mistake was not testing the Cables before putting up the Dry Wall. Now all you can do is make sure you test your set up before cutting into the Dry Wall. You have to be 100% sure what the problem is, and replace what is needed. Check all the Specs, because length is a big issue with any Electronics.

I'm sorry too. I thought there was hope in not having to tear the drywall down.
