Excuse me? TPM was the BEST of the Prequels...why dont you go look at the critics reviews.....anyone with an inkling of the OT (non raped versions) will tell you that TPM felt so much more like the OT than any of the others! Take out Jar Jar, Midi-chlorian crap and add more Maul this would have been a GREAT film in the tradition of the OT. The sad films of the lot are Attack and Revenge....terrible films that dissapointed BIG TIME at the box office. 430 Million in 1999 vs 312 and 380 ( for the finale of the biggest franchise ever?) They SUCKED! Thats why the low box office numbers!

The Blockbuster by my house kinda sucks. They don't have a very large blu-ray selection.

I completely agree with you on phantom menace. I think it was the best. It had the most memorable character of the new trilogy and like you said felt more like the OT. I also think this list is just someone complaining of movies they were disappointed by, not the worst blockbusters.

how are you defining "blockbuster"? Movies that are meant to be big hits or movies that WERE big hits-- cause VAN HELSING was an enormous flop at the boxoffice--- and with good reason!

Most of your list I agree with but there were several that I really liked
especially THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW

This thread will turn into a flame war. Just a matter of time.

My vote would be Wild Wild West, I remember thinking the movie would be good,

Second would be Godzilla.

Wild Wild West also tanked.

These are just movies that people didn't like so they threw them into a blog complaining about how much they didn't like them by putting them into a list.

Okay.

From RT:

Episode I - 63%
Episode II - 66%
Episode III - 79%

Anyone who thinks Episode I is the best of the new trilogy is in the minority.

I'm sure the fact that it had been 16 years since the last SW movie had something to do with the success of Episode I. It's lackluster quality also left a bad taste in the mouths of many, which kept people from seeing the better Episode II and III.

Yeah , that pretty much sums it up. All these lists should have an "imo" tag before them because they are all opinions of one human being and are built to be disagreed with.

Because it made stupid amounts of money.

And if you ask 10 different people, you'll get 10 different answers about the quality of the flick itself, but the fact that it destroyed Blockbusters like the Dark Knight {even today} shows something.

As far as the list goes, I find a lot of movies on there I really enjoyed. IMO, there is about five that deserve to be on that list when you consider all the movies available. As far as critics go, I almost never listen to them. I have a much easier time believing in the users ratings vs the critics. On some reviews, I just don't understand where the critic is coming from.

WHY dont you go an look at Maltins review or Ebert's review....anyone with half a brain when it comes to film. Oh and nice try but epic fail on blaming the film that grossed 430 million in 1999 dollars shown on less screens then the 2002 and 2005 bungle in the jungle.

AHHH was waiting for this:

There are three things you can be assured of on this board:

1. The lack of love for TPM ( dont worry when you get older you will see what I am talking about)

2. The insane hatred for Titanic! Titanic was a GREAT film! Yes great film...but I know it's considered a "chick" flick right? Funny most of the haters are Rings nerds.

3. These summer special effects laden films are truly great!
