Default Top 5/10 Worst Comedies EVER

I searched and there don't seem to have been any other threads on this.

10. Spy Hard - C-

I was quite shocked when I saw this, since it was the first "bad" Leslie Nielson film I've ever seen (and not the only one, I've heard). It has ONE funny scene in the entire duration, the rest is offensive even to kids. This review is 2001: A Space Travesty compatible.

9. Dude, Where's My Car? - D

The title speaks for itself.

8. North - D-

Every single word of Roger Ebert's review of this is true. It's such an offensive, cold-hearted and most importantly, unfunny excuse for a comedy.

7. Eurotrip - D-

Dumb teenagers who can't tell the difference between good and bad will love it, but hopefully people with at least a few brain cells will realise how pathetic it is. Oh, and this review also applies to Road Trip, Slackers and Old School.

6. Eddie Murphy: Raw - D-

Not only is his stand up "comedy" in this film homophobic and extremely over-the-top, not once (I mean it) is it ever funny.

5. I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry - D-

A group of 13 year-olds could make a better movie than this homophobic trash.

4. Meet the Spartans - F

The only difference between this and Epic Movie is this one has better visuals (both the men and the art direction). Date Movie is not in this list because of Allison Hannigan's mere presence, and it at least put effort into being stupid, which is actually quite important. If this list was longer, it'd be at maybe around 11..12.

3. Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo - F

This movie not only scrapes the bottom of the barrel, it's so far down there you can almost see Rob Schnieder's pathetic career shivering and coughing up blood. This movie is nauseating, sad and depressing. Sad and depressing that anyone anywhere in the world could actually like it, and even more importantly, sad and depressing that anyone in their right mind thought it somehow could've been a good movie.

2. Freddy Got Fingered - F

If if wasn't for the disturbing, pointless, horrible scenes of Tom Green embarrassing himself, then this is a competently, surprisingly well made film with only just a bit of bad childish humour which I'd give a D. But those awful scenes and Tom Green's terrible humour are still implanted within this film and they aren't going anywhere.

1. Epic Movie - F

Talentless, worthless crap. The two idiots behind this seem to think that just by merely acknowledging something in recent pop-culture is supposed to split our sides. If you ever need an example of just how tedious most modern films are nowadays, then look no further than this pathetic garbage.

10. SHRIEK If You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th - C-

This movie was obviously made on a very low budget, and it often seems like a student film. It is occaisionally quite hilarious (even the film's title is), but when it's not, it might just be some of the most painfully unfunny movies I've seen in some time.

Way past my teenage years and hopefully I have a few brain cells left but I liked Eurotrip. I thought the robot-fight scene was hilarious. I also liked Dude Where's My Car and Old School. I think those are the only 3 I've seen out of the ones you listed.

Anyway, if I don't enjoy a movie, I don't dwell on it so I'm having a hard time recalling the ones I didn't like. In other words, I'll have to find a list of comedies to help jog my memory. At the moment, I can't think of any.

Of course, as soon as I finished typing that, I thought of 2 comedies that I didn't think were all that funny: Elf and Talladega Nights. I blame my friends for that though. They hyped them up so much, there was no way I was going to be satisfied. Also, I wouldn't label them as the worst I've seen. I didn't fast-forward through them or turn them off. So, I'd just label them as not living up to (my) expectations. Oh, just thought of another one but it doesn't really fit the thread either. Weekend at Bernie's. I didn't like it the first time I saw it but after seeing it again, did like it.

Edit: I probably shouldn't have posted in the thread. After reading the thread title and first post again, I don't think my post fits the thread at all. Sorry about that.

Just because I like a movie doesn't mean I think it's funny. Movies like Airplane!, The Naked Gun, Bad Santa, Scary Movie, Austin Powers, Shaun of the Dead, etc. are funny.

Freddy Got Fingered is one of my favorite movies.

there's really no point in arguing about this. everyone has their own opinion on what's funny and what isn't.

I would say he is offended easily by his descriptions of the movies. I agree, Eddie doesn't belong on there

I'd sit through every one of those twice before any romantic comedy.

The song at the beginning of Eurotrip is enough to get it off that list.

I haven't seen much else on that list though to be honest.

I don't even understand what the title of the thread is supposed to mean. You suck at making polls.
