Default How's the Weather?

The weather. The definition of small talk

So...how's the weather in your area?

It is a cool 78 degrees here today, and slightly overcast. It is the first time in several weeks that it is under 95 degrees and the sun isn't beating down on us without much cloud cover at all. Very nice day outside.

HUMID. There's a category 5 hurricane South of Los Angeles that's going to hit Baja.

Hopefully the humidity helps the fire fighters. Those fires are crazy.

I'm sitting in class right now and got to thinking about how often people just ramble on with each other about the weather

I was just reading about the fires on CNN, it really is bad for those people that live around where those things are at.

Didn't two fire fighters get killed recently?

Yes, the truck fell off a cliff. Those passes are no joke up there.

I know, it's a very common topic of discussion!

It's cold, wet, damp and murky here... About 15 degrees (celcius).. Summer is long over

This has been the mildest Iowa summer of my life. It seems like the whole summer has been in the 70s. Usually the temperature for the first Iowa football game is in the high 90s, this week's forecast calls for low 70s. I like the weather this way, although it has prevented me from doing any sort of water activities, but I have played a lot of golf.

Hurricane in CA is crazy talk

It's 85 with 69% humidity, and a 50% chance of rain. Pretty much everyday during the summer.

Ya same down here in IL. It has been cooler than normal for August/early September. Took my dog for a walk last night it was around 50 with low humidity. Mornings have been in the 40s. Deer have been moving around alot. Which is a bit early. We have had maybe 2-3 days above 90 all summer...boo.

When I left Las Vegas it was 112..when I got off the plane it was 60. Good ole Chicago

I would love to be in 50 degree weather. 80s / 90s just sucks.

Only problem with the mild Midwest summer has been I've had to mow my yard every weekend except 1. Usually during late June/July/early August I can mow every other weekend but this summer that hasn't been the case. I have almost an acre and it takes me almost 3 hours to mow, even with a 54-inch Deere rider. I have to use a push mower in certain areas so that takes about an hour.

We have a John Deere riding mower too. You have to mow the grass once a week here or the grass grows up to 6 inches.

Our lawns have St. Augustine grass.

A lot cooler than it has been this summer here in VA. More importantly, how's class?

Ya but we had a brutal snow filled winter and a horrible wet spring..It would be nice to have a hot summer with little humidity. Not this year. 68 and sunny today. Which is nice weather but it is not summer.

I have not seen snow since I was in middle school. Lived in FL most of my life.
