Default Blu-ray kiosk at Wal*Mart ....

Ok, so I am at walmart for some groceries, and decided to walk by the electronics department .... like I always do.

Right in the middle of the isle, is this big square carton display with a big "blu ray" logo on it, and behold, at least 25 distinct titles are facing my way.

So I think to myself "FINALLY ... WalMart has seen the light" and get that tingly feeling all over. I then look at the other 3 sides of the display ... and WTF .. HD-DVD??????????

1 side blu-ray, 3 sides HD-DVD. Those bastards!

lol, stupid hd dvd. My walmart has always stocked Blu-rays since well probably a year ago and it has always been 3 rows of BD and 2 rows of HD DVD with 1 row of PSP.

The prices were around 24.95 thru 27.95. Still much more than Amazon, but cheaper than Best Buy.

The Walmart I shop at recently expanded their BD selection. They had been carrying about twenty different titles, but today I counted 89 different titles (because I have no life). Most of the titles had four or more copies too, I picked up Reservoir Dogs for 18.96. I'm real happy about this because the only other stores around here with a decent selection are Circuit City and Best Buy and their prices stink.

We live pretty close to each other, I'm down in Vancouver, WA. Hopefully your store will get more soon.

Both Walmarts around my place carry 3 rows of BD's and one of HD Duds. I've bought 5 or 6 from there and the rest from Best Buy. Only had 2 from Amazon. I had them sent to a friends place in Bellingham and picked them up. They don't want to send to Canada.

Better than our Wal-Mart for sure. They got in 3 copies of Ghost Rider and X3. The people in the electronics dept. said they sold really quick and they may or may not get more in. FYE is my only option around here for movies. Prices suck, but they do have a great selection.
