Shane Acker's 9 Blu-ray Details and Release Date
October 27, 2009

Shake Acker's animated spectacle 9 presented by Tim Burton (The Nightmare Before Christmas) and Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) is coming to Blu-ray Disc and DVD on December 29 or just under four months after its September 9, 2009 theatrical release.
On Blu-ray, 9 will be presented in 1.85:1 1080p video, 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and also include D-BOX Motion Code as was offered in a handful of theaters.

The original short film 9 was based on has been included in the bonus features, a key addition for fans of Acker's work. The complete list is as follows.

They're releasing 9 on Blu-ray the same day as District 9, and 4 days after Nine gets released in theaters. That's going to be a confusing time.

I missed it in theaters but will blind buy it realy wanted to see it

Same here, the audio should be a killer on Blu.

The audio was AMAZING in the theater. I loved this movie. Very happy it's coming to Blu.

I'm seeing this on Friday, it's finally coming out in the UK, is it any good.

This will be another great release from Universal. Probably a day one purchase for me.

The movie is decent, nothing more. Entertaining, but I honestly would say to rent it first to see if you like this type/style of movie.
