Default Punisher Preview on Blu-ray Transporter 3

Does anyone know what Punisher film was previewed on the Transporter 3 Blu-ray movie. Is Punisher War Zone or the 2004 release from Lionsgate?

Is there a way to discover which Blu-ray previews are featured on various Blu-ray discs titles?

they both are lionsgate and both have differant actors so it should take 30secs on imdb to figure out which one you want

The first was one with Thomas Jane is good, decent bad guy played by John Travolta and story was good. The newer one Punisher War Zone was out of control action. The acting and dialog is chessey as all hell, but the action more than makes up for it. Espically for my favorite scene ***POSSIBLE SPOILER***where these guys are chasing him over a roof and one guy is in the midst of jumping and BAM! shot at with an RPG and explodes and looks friggin awesome on Blu!!

The action in that piece of crap was horrible. It was total nonsense and very unrealistic and over the top gore. The first Punisher did it right and Thomas Jane & John Travolta performed much better than the leads of that crap movie.

That's exactly what the Punisher comic books are. The 2004 version is barely a Punisher movie.

Actually the best one is the Dolph Lundgren one. But the other two are also good!

I thought War Zone rocked. Over the top and cheesy just like the comics. Definitely better than the Thomas Jane/Travolta one.

Not exactly. The 04 Punisher captured the mood of Frank Castle and was very realistic and retained the elements of Frank Castle. In War Zone, there is no emotion in the characters and the villain is just bad, he just kills people that's it. At least Travolta's character had a reason to be villainous.

Then you must not have read welcome back Frank or any of the new Punisher books because the Punisher in the new movie act just like the punisher in the new books. I mean In welcome back Frank the Punisher punched an angry polar bear in the face and the bear did not do anything to him. He also punted an old lady mob boss out of a window like she was a football lol. The way I look at it is that you are both right. Being a fan of all three punisher movies and being a fan of the books I have to say all three films captured the punisher from different eras. The first film was like the Thomas Jane and the Ray Stevenson version combined. The Thomas Jane version was sort of a realistic take on the character (but I hated the fact that he let the press know that he was back alive that took away his spookiness and myth lol did not like the fire hydrate thing either) The Ray Stevenson punisher (which I liked the best) was the punisher everyone wanted the no remorse version. He is not suppose to have any emotion, he Jason Vorhees to the bad guys lol

Tom Jane is the only thing the 04 film had going for it. He was a great Frank Castle playing a more somber Punisher than Stevenson, who I think Stevenson captured the Castle from the comics a little better. Not to mention he's physically more imposing and Punisher-like. I felt the 04 film was a pretty good action film with a couple of good action beats, namely the fight with the Russian, but it just didn't feel like a Punisher film. It didn't feel like the Garth Ennis stories they were trying to adapt and emulate. It felt run of the mill. War Zone felt like the Ennis books, complete with over the top gangster villains, ridiculous amounts of bloodshed, and very dark violent humor. Plus, it just looks like a live action comic book. The color palette and photography are excellent for what is generally a very dark natured film.
