Default Any reviews for My Bloody valentine 1981?

Just curious if there are any reviews up or if anyone has heard anything. I'm sure I'll still get it either way, but I'm just curious.

I watched it the other nite, and it looked better than I expected. I owned the DVD release and was shocked to see the cut footage inserted into the film, making it look so drastic.

At the same time it is kind of cool looking, so I think it is cool just to have the footage that survived put back into the film.

The BD is worth every penny. I thinnk Best Buy lowered their .com pricing also... but sometimes these Lionsgate releases are for cheap at WalMart stores if they have them stocked. Always depends.

I was really looking for Monster Squad today at W-mart, but they did have My Bloody Valentine & Cujo for $14.99 each. I now wish I had picked up one of them, but maybe next time..........

That much? Usually WM has Lionsgate catalog titles for $10.

Just ordered this from Amazon for $11.99. It will be $10 soon enough, but I want to see it. Should be fun.

Is it just me, or is this audio sync on the scene with the mayor at the end of film discussing the motivations for the killer with the chief way out of whack? I can't tell if it's simply bad dubbing in the movie or the delay I set on my receiver.

Any help?

I couldnt wait. I had to have it for $14.98. I wanted Monster Squad too. I figured they would carry it since they carry so many copies of the original dvd release, but alas, no such luck.

Yeah I know what you mean but at the same time its one of the only reviews that are up that give a basic knowledge of the transfer. It's just a shame they are not taking 1080p screenshots.

Watched it last night. DNRed; however without it pq might look intolerably grainy. Big difference betw deleted scenes (dirty and v coarse grain texture) and the rest of the film (clean, moderate-high detail).

Contentwise -- major reinforcing of Canadian stereotypes. Moosehead everywhere. I've never seen so many flannel shirts and I live in Tronno. Eh.

Yea for some reason the only screenshots they show are from the deleted scenes that are very poor quality.

Not sure I see the DNR you speak of. Care to point to a good example?
