Allen Toussaint - any fans out there?

I am not much of a jazz listener but do try to expand my music horizon from time to time. So while I was listening to some CD clips at B&N I picked up Allen Toussaint's "The Bright Mississippi" and was pleased with the sampler portions I could hear in the store so I bought the CD. Now that I am listening to the last track as I write this I would say I was very pleased. If you are familiar with this artist I would like to know of other albums to look for that have a similar sound, I like the piano jazz on this CD but there is a lot of other instrument work that flows in nicely. If I see this artist at another store I will probably buy it just on what I heard on this one, but some of you may know of other artists with a similar sound and what album of his that is considered best. Thanks for any suggestions,
