UPS has screwed up my Order for Polk PSW505. Any better alternative better for $250?

Okay so UPS has screwed up my order from newegg.
Before I go and re-order my sub (for the 3rd time) should
I consider any alternatives for the $250 price i'm getting
my PSW505? I have a medium sized room, Polk Audio RM10
surrounds, and a sony receiver. Please advise! thank you!!!

You can look at the subwoofer options from Acoustic Audio and Premier Acoustics. We have owners threads for both of them.

UPS states I rejected the item and its been sent back to the shipper.
I was there all day and never got a package. They also said I rejected
separate shipment from Best Buy (my PS3) at the same day/time, but
again, I was there and nobody showed up at my front door.
I live in san diego so by the time I called them (1 hour after they
say they attempted to deliver) the package was already on its
way back to Cerritos, CA -- where newegg ships from. Today,
the following morning, it has already been delivered back to newegg.

This'll be my third time ordering the item and I'm wondering if there's
anything better... otherwise I'll just suck it up and order for the
third time

1 thing I do sometimes is have the ordered Item delivered to my work place where there is A delivery from UPS or Fedex everyday . Just A thought

Did you verify if they had the correct address for delivery?

That seems like a good question that should be looked into. Other than that, have it shipped to a different location (work or relative) or insist on a different carrier. If all else fails, you could ask UPS to hold the package at its facility facility so you could go and pick it up yourself.

Same here. Getting a new HT addition delivered at work brings a nice moment to the workday.

Newegg will deliver to an alternate address.

The PSW505 is a very capable subwoofer for the money asked for it on Newegg. There are some other options in that range, but you would not do bad to stick with the 505.

Everything has been looked into.. and it appears that the only
last reasonable theory is that the delivery guy was running
late and instead of attempting to make his deliver, he
erroneously reported that I rejected.. both my ps3 and new sub,
which were arriving from different places on the same day.

Yes, indeed. I had a delivery scheduled one day. While sitting on my front porch, I watched the UPS truck drive right by my house. When checking on why my package was not delivered, the driver had stated " Delivery Attempted, No One Home ". Right. The joker apparently had something better to do than delivering packages that day.

never had a problem with UPS here. The UPS driver that comes here is cool as hell. Plays PS3 too. lol. He was geeking over Modern Warfare 2, even though I don't play it.
