Does the slim bitstream game audio as well as blu-ray?

yes the slim bitstreams lossless audio

i have a slim and it sends my signal thru 'multichannel'

to get the ps3 to say 'dolby digital' etc when playing games you have to disable all the check boxes for lpcm sound

yet when you do this the xmb is only stereo and not multich

i set my ps3 to bitstream then check ALL the 5. boxes (i have 5.1 system buy if i had 7.1 i wuld check 7.1 boxes too)

when you play a blu it will display the correct lossless codec on your receiver, for gaming it will say 'multich'

Every model of PS3 bitstreams lossy game audio.

Lossless-compressed isn't an output format used by games (realtime mixing+encoding).
