lol yeah the dude who selles players / works cashier actually talked 2 people who had both into getting the blu-ray version lol I was gonna take my sis back for another shooter tonight but now they are all gone lol

Folks, if you can't find it in stock, ORDER IT. The retailers need to develop a better understanding of this new market and the more orders the retailers have, the greater quantity they'll order each time from the distributers and finally the more massive the production runs the BD producers will schedule. They are going to have to learn that they have a beast that needs to be fed.

Just called my local CC and they have 6 copies of blu-ray 300 left and 2 of shooter actual quote "but if you have an HD-DVD player we have the tons of the special edition"

yep probly better to go online now or check your stores inventory cause as we know lots of people love the blu-ray

I just checked Best Buy's inventory for both formats in my area as well and noticed the same thing! Great news for HD-DVD!

my CC got 100 copies of 300 on both platforms and HD-DEAD did not sell a single copy while Blu-Ray sold out!

In the Bay Area (East Bay) 6 out of the 6 still has the BD of 300 in stock. The good news is that the HD-DEAD is also available at all the 6 local Best Buys. I went to one Best Buy this morning and they had about 40 copies which is alot for a Blu-Ray. On the other hand I bought mine at Circuit (did Walmart price match, 23.50) they had about 12-15 copies and I bought two.

it'll probly be a diff demand in each area but here in MD we love the blu-ray lol

on a side note only 1 of my six locals for hd-dvd has sold out there HOT FuZZ inventory

Like most of you, I went out directly after work to J&R (Big electroics store in NYC) to get the 300 on Blu-Ray. I couldn't find it so I asked the sales person if they had any in stock and she basically interrupted me (pre-empting the question she got time and again that day) saying "It sold out on Blu-Ray immediately, but we have extra copies in the other format" ...hehe

I walked away somewhat dissapointed that I couldn't buy it but also secretly happy for the Blu-Ray camp On my way home i stopped at Virgin megastore in Times Square and they had a bunch of copies so I bought one and watched it last night along with all of the extras. Great movie! Very Happy. (BTW the HD-DVD format was $5 more than Blu-Ray there 39.99 vs. 34.99)

Though you guys/gals would appreciate that little anecdote from my experience yesterday

The moviestop here in Brandon, Fl just called me to make sure I picked up my preorder of 300 because they're the only place in town that has the BD in stock, and they wanted to make sure before they put the rest out on the shelves. Very good news, and pretty impressive customer service, I thought. I was tempted to ask how the HD DVD was doing, but I figured they might not have a clue.
