Talking Kung Fu Hustle!

I gotta get this on BD. This is in my Top 20 funny movies of all time. And it's a damn good martial arts flick too.

Anyone own it? I only got to see it on SD when I heard about it a few years ago.

I Do! What a great movie...hilarious. I'd say if you're a fan then its definitely worth the upgrade to Blu-ray.

I have the UK version. It's very good quality, and it's not edited like the US version.

Defintely get the UK or HK imports since those are the uncut versions.

The Hong Kong release even includes a 640kbs Dolby Digital track in case your equipment can not playback 5.1 PCM audio.

I don't remember if I saw it, and if I did it was before I knew who Stephen Chow was. I own and love Chinese Odyssey, and I plan on buying CJ7 at some point. If I like those two movies, would you think I would like this enough to buy it, or should I still rent it first?

Funny movie. Really decent too. Not something I watch all the time, but once in a while.

Is the length of the UK version longer than the US version? All versions listed on this site are at 99 minutes.

its blood censoring, not actual scenes cuts from the film.

I didn't mean it was the same theme or anything. What I meant was is it poking fun at martial arts movies and Asian culture (not in mean way) like Undercover Brother poked fun of the funky 70's and black/white culture? I should have been clearer.

no..I wouldnt say it's a parody of kung fu. On the contrary. It's an over exaggeration of kung fu beautifully done, and extremely funny XD He uses kung fu in a funny way, if you know what I mean. And the scenes are actually pretty badass

Anyway, the BD version is the same as the 'Axe kicking' DVD edition? (uncut version basically)

PS: sorry, english is not my native language...

The US release has most of the extras from the first DVD release and is censored for violence.

The UK, HK, Taiwan, and French releases have the same extras as the US BD but are not censored for violence. Note that the UK release is the English friendly release and includes English subtitles for all extras.
