Exclamation Out of synch dialogue.

Either I'm going nuts or something is wrong with my tv/ps3.

It started with "Pandorum" which had a few scenes that I felt were out of sync. Some posters agreed so I assumed it was an overall production glitch. Then "Law Abiding Cititizen" which was horrible sync wise! But now I'm noticing it with "500 days of summer" too (not as bad) oh and the "Whip It" trailer that played before that was terrible too.

I have a Phillips 1080p 42" tv & 40GB PS3.
Any suggestions on set-up? Or any ideas as to what could lead to dialogue being delayed or off.

Anything helps, thanks. I'm not really all that of a technology guy. But I love me some Blu.
Although I'm starting to think maybe I'm just thinking too much about it. Haha.

I am not familiar with your tv However i am familiar with the same problem. Quick fix was to use analog audio to a seperate set of computer speakers i use to own, at the time was a huge upgrade from the tv speakers. Now recievers usually do the syncing. I could never get it working and thought it was just an old hdmi lcd. However researching its quite common. Things to check: lower the effects on the tv such as dnr, sharpness, etc to bare. In theory this will give the tv extra processing power to do other things(didnt do sh*t for me). Also try the actual modes, some tv's come with modes like game mode, blu-ray, etc that fixes it. Again, didn't do anything for me.

I had to change the resolution back and forth until it fixed itself, or atleast sounded like it did.

Hope this helps. Might be a good excuse to get some audio going for yourself.

Are you using optical cables? How do you have your video and audio wired up?

HDMI.

So I put in one of my older titles and that seemed fine. 500 days of summer was fine, mind the beginning. Maybe I panicked too early. But any help on how to ensure audio is set up 100% would be nice.

Strangely enough, all my Blurays are in synch. Some TV channels is what goes out. And not all the time. I use the AV synch in my receiver to get it as close as possible.

I am having the same issue with 500 Days of Summer, I hear the audio a split second before I see the lips move. I called fox at the number on the back of the package and the rep said there is no known issue at this time. I'm going to exchange my copy at Best Buy later today and see if I have a bad disc, but if anyone else is having this issue, I'd love to know if there is a fix for this. I haven't had this issue with any other movie. Btw, I'm using an Oppo BDP-80 with 5.1 analog to a Denon AVR-687 receiver and a Sony KDL-46V5100 LCD. Any advice would be great!

Edit: I had the same issue when I was using a Sony BDP-S1 with analog out...

Turn the 1080P automatic 24 Hz off on the PS3. This worked for me, however I only had video going via HDMI and used optical for sound.

I saw the same problem in the standard DVD - Law abiding Citizen - I rented it and blu ray was not available - I feel asleep during pandorum so I didnt notice. I was hoping LAC was just the DVD b/c I want to buy the Blu ray but I saw several other posters with same problem - is it the studio?

Well I was just about to start a new thread about this same issue.
I have a 46in samsung touch of color tv and an LG BD370 Blu Player hooked up to an HK avr-254 receiver via HDMI. I bought Inglorious Basterds and am seeing this in the majority of the movie. I also rented Burn After Reading and am seeing it too. Really bummed about this. Not really sure what I can do?? The ironic thing is that this issue has bugged me-literally my whole life- I don't know why, but I have always payed attention to if the audio is synced perfectly when watching tv and movies.
