We've gotten word of a home video release in the works for White Collar - The Complete 1st Season, on both standard and high-def formats. The show airs on USA Network, and stars Matthew Bomer ("Bryce" on Chuck), Tim DeKay (Party Of Five, Carnivàle), Tiffani Thiessen (Beverly Hills 90210, Saved By The Bell), Willie Garson (NYPD Blue, Sex And The City), Sharif Atkins ("Dr. Gallant" on ER) and Natalie Morales ("Wendy" on The Middleman). Amazon has begun taking pre-orders for this title on both DVD and Blu-ray Disc versions. These listings are prior any official announcement from Fox Home Entertainment, so instead of a street date these only say "This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives". Pricing is available, however, showing $69.98 SRP for the DVD and $69.99 SRP for the Blu-ray (and you can lock in your copy of either of these at a nice discount if you place your order now). Our thanks to one of our readers, "Brittany", for the heads-up about these listings. There are no other details available so far, however, but the DVD listing does have some package art (shown below; may be subject to change). didnt see this posted yet i only saw one ep(i dont have usa) and i liked it and will prob get it on blu ray is it worth it?

Pretty odd that this is getting released on Blu, considering it's the same company (Fox) that decided NOT to release Burn Notice on Blu anymore.

That was my first thought as well, especially since Burn Notice gets better ratings. The sales of Burn Notice on Blu-ray must have been poor though and for whatever reason they think White Collar will do better. I never watched this show but heard good things, will probably rent it.

so is a second season planned ?im just afraid to buy it and then if they decide not release future seasons on blu(like burn notice).

There will definitely be a second season of the show, but there's no way of knowing if it will be on Blu-ray. It will depend on the sales of the first season. Fox has shown that they are willing to release a Blu-ray for one season and not future seasons.

I love this show and will get day 1. Now we just need good sales to get season 2 on blu-ray.

I will just get the DVD because i bet season 2 wont see Blu-ray. If it does i may get it on sale.

YES!!! I really really like this show... and pretty much all of USA's original programming... really hope Universal starts releasing MONK, Psych, and In Plain Sight soon... Love all those shows and I'm NOT buying them on DVD if they will eventually come to Blu... I will buy this one day 1!!!

I think you will find a good price for when it comes out. I mean it's only 14 episodes so I think it will be a little more then a regular movie but less then other boxset's. So hopefully around $30-40 for price range.

Yeah I really hope we also get Psych season 4 on blu-ray. Not sure what chances Monk has though since all seasons are on DVD but you never know.

yeah thats what im hoping for 50 is crazy.Matthew Bomer was a good actor on chuck thats the whole reason i tuned in for and ep and loved it so i cant wait hopefully this set will be out by at least june/july

Yeah I hope it's at least out before season 2 airs this Summer. Usually Psych comes out in July/August but since Fox is releasing this who knows.

Mmk, here is what I know.

White collar season 2 starts July and the blu of season 1 is either late Jine or early July.

Psych season 4 is not in the works for blu as of right now. Steve Franks likes the format, but it's not planned as of now. Although he is open to it.

Don't get me wrong White Collar is a great show. But I just don't know if it has much replay value.

Like Psych I can re-watch those all day and laugh.

That sucks about no psych season 4 on blu-ray. I loved the outdoor episodes this season and thought they would look amazing on blu-ray. That's good that White Collar is coming out that fast.

Yeah, $50 is crazy, but it will come down in price between now and release like most of the other TV seasons do. I'll be getting this for sure since I really like the show as long as Fox doesn't blow it like they did with Burn Notice in terms of just throwing it on Blu-Ray discs and hoping that would be enough.
