The Slammin' Salmon Blu-ray Review

Quote:
When a boxer turned restaurateur (Michael Clarke Duncan) announces a contest to his waitstaff, the good news is that the winner will get a $10,000 bonus. The bad news? The loser will be on the receiving end of a heavy- duty smack-down at the hands of the champ himself.

... went home and pre-ordered it. Funny stuff. Love The Broken Lizard Gang.

This is in the veins of "Waiting".

It´s very over the top but who expects otherwise =)

For potential non us buyers, Slammin' Salmon Disc is Region locked Reg A.

They also made one called Puddle Cruiser, bought it on dvd a while back, but think i only watched 1/4 or so.

Club Dread however is great, hopefully that will find its way to Blu soon.

The flick was ok, but I'm not surprised it didnt get a real theatrical release. It's easily Broken Lizard's weakest film (not counting their low-budget "Puddle Cruiser")

Not a horrible film, just a very disappointing one.

I've been wondering what this movie was but never bothered to look. I have Super Troopers, but I've never seen it and haven't watched it yet. I've never seen any of his movies before so I'll most likely be giving this a rent.

I looked Kevin Heffernan up to see what movies he did and saw that Super Troopers 2 is coming out next year? And I thought he was the kid from Salute Your Shorts when I first looked at him.

I enjoy Super Troopers and Beerfest, so I may give this one a go. I'll probably wait until it's around $9.99 though.

I picked this up at BB the other day. It rang up $24.99. I told the ladie it was 14.99 on the site. I showed her it on my Iphone. She called a manager over and changed the price. I was happy with the movie. It does not beat super troopers. I don't think they can. Maby in 2011 when ST2 comes out. This movie was so-so. I would give it a 6/10. The last half hour was the best. I thought the movie was almost like
[Show spoiler]waiting...
just not as funny.

I dug the hell out of this film, i thought it had more laughs then beerfest or club dredd. I'll be picking up the blu hopefully this week (i tried last week but they were sold out)

Super troopers is defenetly their best movie, but they always make me laugh and apparently they have a few good ideas they are working on including an acient greece road trip movie, an ambulance chaser film, and a film involving a bunch of mooches that have to trick a rich rockstar to not sell his house and of course super troopers 2 which has been in the works for a while. ST2 was rumoured to be a prequel involving the characters dad's back in the 70's but Broken lizard recently confirmed that that idea was abandoned and the film will be a straight up sequel

I thought Super Troopers was pretty funny, but the wife and I watched this last night and both of us said "this is like a bad version of Employee of the Month" after about 20 minutes. It does get a little better later on, but neither of us thought it was worth watching again. Glad we rented it first!

Sorry to necropost, but watched this again last night, and still thoroughly enjoyed it. "So why does it say Meat-Drapes when I read it". I was glad they managed to do a funny restaurant film that wasn't toilet humor. And the whole punch line of yen was priceless...
