Default Transformers (2007) = Trash

This movie had so much potential to capture the spirit of the cartoons, yet it failed miserably.

I finally managed to muscle through the first 10 minutes of this movie unmedicated and magined almost an entire hour.

Until the urinating started.

Look, I'm no prude. I loved Dumb and Dumber. Urinating and defecation fit that movie.

But this...... this is transformers man! This is supposed to be an update on the original. This is supposed to be robots saving earth, and battling each other and something enjoyable for kids of all ages.

Who was this movie dumbed down for? Pee and fart jokes are so 90's.

The script could have been so much better. Transformers hiding from Mom & Dad in the backyard? Really? For 10 minutes? What kind of crap is that?

Did no one have one single brain cell worth of a good idea???

Man, what a terrible movie. This is the ONLY movie in my collection that I regret owning.

WTF. This should have been on the level of Star Wars and Superman in terms of innocence and fun.

BOOOOOOOO Michael Bay. I will never watch another one of your freak shows again.

If you thought the first one was bad... you should try the second one. LOL

I thought Transformers (2007) was a decent popcorn flick. I had a smile on my face so that's good enough.

Exactly--I didn't think anyone even TRIED trolling TF1 threads anymore after that cinematic 9/11...
Not being sarcastic, that one actually did make you respect what discipline and restraint the first movie had.

Don't worry, 2 is an Improvement, Darker and more complex, story-wise and emotinally.

You will love it so much more!

I'll never forget my experience in the theater. I felt like I was living out the scene in Idiocracy where Not Sure went to see Ass: The Movie and was surrounded by brainless zombie movie-goers that were entertained by anything. Worst time at the movies ever.

I agree about the first film. It is a fun movie that entertains for a little over two hours. Yeah, I hate the urinating scene as well but there is a lot of good stuff in it. The movie did have potential to be really awesome and amazing but once Bay was attached, we knew what we were in for and I just sat back and enjoyed the ride.

I'll gladly shell out my couple bucks for the next film.

Yeah if you hate it that much trade it, there's plenty of people here who would probably take it off your hands.

It was a blind buy. I didn't think it could be THAT bad. And I bought it for my 3 year old son who was just finding out about the world of transformers, so I figured what-the-heck.

Wasn't there a transformers movie before this? Cartoon style?

The only things I would do are -
Reduce the juvenile jokes
Have less of the humans
Improve the design of the robots and edit the fight scenes better

To be honest I loved the first one and thought it was well made for a Transformers movie! The 2nd was good and had its moments but the two twin robots needed to go. Other than that I was ok with the 2nd one. I had no issues with the first one though. Got Em!!
