300 is action, action action and little else. So if you like seeing a movie with muscular men in thongs fighting a lot, this movie is for you.

Well..I thought Gladiator was better. I doubt that will help your decision though.

It looks like I'd get it for the same reason I got 2012...simply to bask in the glory of my BD player and Harmon Kardon/Yamaha bliss...thanks guys !

This is one of the most bad ass pix I’ve ever seen!!! The movie is great, lots of action and blood!!!

and butler has the manliest beard i've ever seen in the movie!!!

But it's fun, if you remember that it's mostly based on the comic and not the historical battle. I find it's a good movie to escape and not think too much

Strong recommendation. At the end you'll want to pick up a spear, yell at the top of your lungs, and beat some poor sap to a pulp.

It's not very taxing on the frontal lobes but a lot of fun for what it is. I'd give it a rental, at least.

If you enjoy films with zero substance that sound like they were written by a 3rd grader, then this film is for you. The "look" of the film is cool for about 5 minutes... unfortunately there's still 111 agonizing minutes left. Worst blind buy ever.

One of the best movies on blu, I loved it in the theater and love it on blu. Its one of my most watched movies.
If you like lots of action and blood then you won't be disappointed.
Lots of grain in the movie so if you like that you will love it.
I love grain so this movie is heaven.

it's entertaining but extremely testosterone driven and historically inaccurate. The epitomy of a teenage boy must-buy (which isn't always a bad thing).
