Default What are some good movies by Lions Gate?

I am not too familiar with the studio so forgive my ignorance... but what are some their major releases?

Are they an older movie studio with a new name... or a new one that bought an old one out?

American Psycho is one of my all-time favorite films. Crash may not have deserved an Oscar, but it was a great movie. The Descent is one of the best horror movies in years. There's the great sci-fi movies Total Recall and Terminator 2 for the AHNALD! fans. And of course, First Blood.

They don't have much out there, but I like Crank, Employee of the Month, First Blood, & Stargate from them. Would depend on your movie preferences, of course.

"Buffalo 66" - being from Rochester, you'll really appreciate this one. Wasn't really made for high def, but it's one of my favourite DVDs - very cool and funny movie. "Requiem for a Dream" -- not for all tastes, but I was quite blown away by it...

Saw 1.2.3
Crash
Crank
The Descent
American Psycho
Rize,Grizzly Man, Happy Endings, Hard Candy, Rules of Attraction...although none of these are on Blu Ray

and Lionsgate is kind of an inbetween one, they arent small but they arent huge either. Been around for 10 years or so, I "think" they are based out of Canada but not sure. Check out their site for more info and movies.http://www.Lionsgate.com

Under-appreciated, the exclusive Blu-ray studio support we get from Lionsgate, in my opinion...

Donnie Darko is a cult classic that would not only sell well on a Blu-ray remaster in North America, it would clean house in the UK...

Waiting... was a decent release. The BD-J director/producer commentary is interesting too. They stop the movie, rewind it, and mark it up with a light-pen. Pretty neat!

Nice makes me wanna buy it now, liked the movie anyway. Is it the unrated cut of the movie?
