Hopefully these delays are so they can abandon mpeg2. I'm all for their great looking recent releases, but I'd rather see them take advantage of newer tools and eliminate that dts stuttering problem.

I don't mind delays at all... Hopefully these releases will come out next to perfect and continue this growing trend that we see with recent BD releases. I highly doubt I'll miss any of these titles on my shelf, as I'll have plenty of other movies to watch.

Oct. 25th is the supposed release date for the BDP-S1. On Sony Styles website it says availibility on or around October 25th. I've taken six days off of work starting on Oct 27th to watch BD movies... So I better have a BD player by then, or I might be "borrowing" another Samsung.

yes it certainly is but I would imagine the rest of the year will be fairly expensive as far as movie purchasing goes.

To me Lionsgate have the worst PQ of any studio making BDs, so amen bro.
