Default BlockBuster, we love Blu-ray!

Ive been lurking for a while but i finally picked up a PS3 just in time to pick up the 5 free movies. i also got Casino Royale to hold me over and i must say watching it in HD brings a new level of entertainment to the movies. i love it.

Just have to share this. I have the BB pass, and I got to the store at least four times a week. My store is one of the 250 selected stores that carries Blu-ray and HD DVd. The selection was around 55 titles for each format. I just went to the store and the Blu-ray section has quadrupled! I asked the manager, and she told that the had received "150 Blu-ray titles" and zero for the DUD. There were like 8 or 9 people around the area talking about the expanded selection. I live in West Kendall (Miami).

Talking BlockBuster, we love Blu-ray!

Its awesome! They have tons of movies and best yet the rent at the same price as a DVD! I am in heaven! I love that Blockbuster went Blu. Saves me alot of money since now I don't have to buy them to watch a movie in 1080P. Go Blockbuster I love you! Since they got Blu I also went ahead and got the rewards deal for 10 bucks to rent at 2.99 a pop saves me a 1.50 a wack. Thanks again Blockbuster! I hope people rent them like crazy! Don't dispare people that don't have Blu Blockbusters your day will come sooner than you think. Heck Hannibal, MO of all places have it! GO BLU-RAY!!!

Default BlockBuster, we love Blu-ray!

I'd like to introduce myself to the forum. I've had a PS3 for a while now and am happy that I've found a place like this for news on all things Blu.

It sounds like most of the people here know a lot about blu-ray, and home theaters in general so I doubt I'll be able to actually share anything useful.

I guess I'll thank you guys in advance for all the info I'm sure to find on this site.

So, um... Thanks!

Default BlockBuster, we love Blu-ray!

I have been coming to this site for the past like 4 months now and i just joined. This is truely the BEST site for everything BLU-RAY.And im getting my Blu-ray collection up cuz when i found out that buy.com had $10 off i bought 4 movies for $40.And i just orderd 6 more from amazon nad 1 more from buy.com.Im sorry to say this but i think im gonna go broke buying all these movies.Im on 19 years old and own a ps3,6 ps3 games, 9 movies plus 7 on the way and a 32" 1080p HDTV.So you can see im a little small timer compared to ppl who have like 50 BD movies.I want to tahnk every1 who posts deals and upcoming releases. And i have about 130+ DVD's that i gotta sell in order to get them in Blu-Ray.So if anybodys intersted get at me

I first noticed the new HD formats at Blockbuster. A friend of mine turned me onto Blu.

I saw a display at Walmart. I watched the HDDVD display for about two minutes. Then I saw the BD display. I watched it two times through the demo, which was probably 10 to 15 minutes. Then, I went and found my wife and made her watch it.

Default BlockBuster, we love Blu-ray!

My name is Lee, and I've recently had the chance to try out a Blu-Ray player on loan from my local dealer. I have a big home theater set-up, and WAS going to wait a bit longer to laet the dust settle on this format thing. I saw the Blu-Ray on my own system, and was blown away. I've now got 6 discs and don't even own a player yet! Fortunately, I have a long-term loan until one of the "all-codec" audio decoding players is out. I'm looking at the Denon, but am patiently waiting now that I can watch movies with a completely new sense of involvement.

Thanks to all for the huge knowledge base...my learning curve has been massive as I've read here.

Lee
