The New Halloween Movie - Blu-ray Forum

I am wondering on the new Hollaween imovie, it is distributed by MGM. However, but I believe that Weinstein produced it. Will it be released in Blu-Ray or HD DUD? I am sure that one of the better informed members has this answer.

Anyways... I am buying the original.

it sucked is all i know... if you liked the original halloween thrillers this might be for you but i doubt it. now if you like rob zombie films this one will definently be up your ally. you can obviously see his influence through the entire film

come on guys, give him some credit. halloween is a classic, that i personally thought couldnt be touched, but he did a good job. he didnt kill it. also he didnt even wanna do it, he was approached to do it.its just my opinion, but i do hope this comes to blu!

I'm still looking forward to seeing this. I thought he did a great job with the Devil's Rejects. More a little of himself in that movie than in House Of A Thousand Corpses. In case anyone wants to know he has a new live album and dvd due out soon.

Look for Weinstein to be announcing neutrality very soon. It is rumored by insiders that Grind House will be coming to blu-ray before Christmas.

Just saw this tonight. It's different from Carpenter's original, but I liked it. Michael Myers is a more aggressive, kick-ass killing machine than he was in the original . . . Tyler Mane was very good.

That doesn't make him more scary, menacing or creepy than the original Myers portrayal to say the least.

I am sorry by posting this, but this nothing but a personal perspective on the new HALLOWEEN movie by Rob Zombie. IT IS BUT ANOTHER PATHETIC, MIND NUMBING, SEX ADDICTIVE Rob Zombie movie. i am very offended by it. the fact i spent 14 dollars for 1 ticket to watch that movie, I wish i spent it to buy another BD movie.

Wow $14.00 for a movie ticket?! I went to see Halloween on opening day and I only spent $4.00 for a ticket.Of course it was a matinee. Well anyways I thought the new Halloween was ok,but the orginal Halloween was way better.As the orginal Halloween was all about scares,Rob Zombies was all about sex and violence.

Place I go to see movies is like $6.00 Mind you I go in the afternoons. At night its $8.00. A bonus , if you like popcorn a large bag is refillable as is a large pop.

Just saw this thing last night and being a HUGE fan of the original Halloween I was a bit disappointed. Zombie did a good job with his version but the whole sex/violence thing wasn't meant for this film. The original film was great because of the slow eerie pace throughout.

I think this remake would have been spot on if it had more creepy elements rather than the aggressive violence and the nudity (which I didn't mind

)

Anyway, the original Halloween by John Carpenter is coming out in October on Blu-ray and that's all I need from this franchise.

I don't understand why you spent any money on a movie you obvioiusly weren't going to enjoy. Stop seeing Rob Zombie movies if you believe that they are just another pathetic, mind numbing, sex addictive, ROB ZOMBIE movie. What did you expect from his Halloween? He wasn't trying to make a movie like Carpenter, he was making his own.

You could have saved yourself $14 and put it towards buying the original when it comes out on Blu Ray in October.

I was disappointed. Carpenter's version left to your imagination why Michael Meyers is so messed up. My take is he was just born evil as some children are. The original is scary. This movie just has the gross effect. Although I did find the girls a lot hotter. Did anyone notice that Michael Meyer's older sister that he kills is Forest's friend Jenny... from Forest Gump. Please God make me a bird so I can fly far far away from my demented brother Michael...

I agree totally. The franchise ended with the one and only original Halloween The others don't even exist. The whole cult thing that was brought up in like number 4 or 5 wasn't even explored... What ever happened with that. Remember the guy that had the same tattoo as Michael and broke him out of jail. Just didn't make sense. Of course Halloween 3: Season of the Witch, now that is a classic, "NOT" What was that all about...
