Default Stranglehold = PS3 game + "Hard Boiled" movie on one Blu-ray disc!

I'm not sure if this has been posted, but oh well:

Developers are finally figuring out what to do with the Playstation 3’s spacious 50GB Blu-ray discs: Throw some recycled content on there and charge more for it. Midway and Sony announced a collector’s edition of the upcoming game Stranglehold on Thursday, which will include a high-definition version of John Woo’s Hard Boiled, the film that serves as the inspiration for the game. The collector’s edition will retail for $69.99, $10 more than the regular version of the game is expected to sell for.

"The exclusive collector’s edition of Stranglehold demonstrates the power of PlayStation 3 Blu-ray disc and the total entertainment experience that can only be found on PlayStation 3,” said Riley Russell, general counsel for Sony Computer Entertainment Amercia, in a statement. “The 50GB capacity of Blu-ray disc allows PS3 content publishers to do things simply not possible on our competitor’s 9GB DVD-based systems. Thanks to the advanced technology found in PS3, developers like Midway can truly realize their visions, bringing consumers even closer to the game.”

Stranglehold is scheduled for release on the PS3 in August, along with its counterparts for the Xbox 360 and PC, which will cost $59.99 and $49.99, respectively. A DVD version of Hard Boiled will also be coming out independently of the game on July 24, from the Dragon Dynasty DVD label.

Update:
The 360 version is out now. Additionally, the PC version will be sold on Sept. 18 and the version for Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 will be released on Sept. 25.

Personally I didn't care for the demo/game. For one I hate not being able to jump and having to press a button for anything you want to do something on or run on, besides the ground. Also I hate when you run into anything you immediately either slide on it, over it, or on top of it.

I like the concept of the game and having everything destructible, but in some shootouts there is just to much going on and the screen is so busy with things exploding and flying all over the place, it is to difficult to target and aim at something to shoot at.

Plus the demo was way to easy. I played through it on all difficulty settings and didn't die one time even on Hard Boiled. Of course they may have something to do with the fact that I played it 3 times through in a row, but those are my thoughts...

As a side note, I bet Hard Boiled in 1080p will be friggin' awesome!
