Default HD DVD TL51 - vaporware "until 2008 or 2009"

Haw haw!

http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/storage...917234519.html

This should shut up any AVMSer who throws "unfinished specs" or "vaporware" charges around.

Talk about the real science fiction!

PS: This site is notoriously anti-BD so the irony is thicker than the snake oil from the A-man.

This disk is pathetic. 1 more gig for going to 3 layers!!! BD skipped the 3 layer and went right for the 4 layer--100gig disc.

25+gig a layer is much better bandwidth then 17 gig a layer.

What makes more sense to you.

BD does!!!!

Screw this 51gig soon to be failure, hddvd really blows. I seen to remember that the hddvd camp was stating that 30gig was more than enough. Now this?????

LOL, stay away from hddvd. They are not to be trusted.

LOL, 1 more gig-----they can shove their 1 gig up the Aces

HOLY CRAP!!! 51gigs on a disc!!! Did Jesus make this, because it is a miracle!!! I can't believe that HD DVD is now better than blu. I just Ebayed my S300 and sold on my blu titles. I am jumping ship...head first into HD DVD

Wait a second. It wont increase bandwidth so I still wouldn't have PCM. It will cost more since HD DVD is more expensive per gig. Plus the HD DVD players that are out now wont be able to read the disc. Good thing I didn't over react.

Dual layer DVD's have that slight pause when it switches layers. I'm not sure if the HD players buffer to prevent this. But can you imagine having your HD-DVD pause every so often during the movie playback? Simply pathetic.

This would be true if they were rational or had their vaccinations.
