HELP, PLEASE - With Elite 92 etc - Blu-ray Forum

This afternoon I purchased a Pioneer Elite VXS-92 receiver to go with a Samsung 65" HiDef TV and my Sony 300 BluRay player. All three components are HDMI equipped and connected. The HiDef cable box/DVR is connected to the receiver via HDMI also. I have no problem with cable signals but when I try to play a BluRay disc all I get is audio and the initial blue BluRay logo when the 300 player is warming up - then no video. Since the blue BluRay logo is outputted by the Sony disc player, I must be getting some video signal, but that is all I'm getting. Any ideas about what I may be doing wrong?

maybe update firmware?

make sure you turn on the components in this order

Player>Reciever> TV

Sounds like an HDMI handshaking issue
