broken ps3..how? - Blu-ray Forum

Well mines not broken thank god.

but it makes me a lil sad to hear some people ps3 have being broken or wrecked

tell me the story of that how its possible to break such a wondering machine!

The first day I bought mine from Gamestop it wouldn't "grab" or let me put in discs. I took it back that day and received a working unit.

Second week I had it I put in Terminator 2 and it locked up. Had to system reset and set it all up again, Thought it was broken for sure....... Its been ok ever since the reset was done..... OH YEAH !

I tried to break my PS3, but it just laughed at me. I think that when I'm not home my PS3 fights in the UFC.

heats up,watching dvds...more then blu-rays?

atleast you can hear the fans blasting like a 747 getting it out

not when you have the heat blasting in your room to max,i watch movies in a cold room for now on and 360 will cook if you dont give it breaks or rest...

put a fan by it just to keep it a lil cooler,what sucks!!!

ps3 is pefect,the upscaling is good....i seen the blocks playing over dvd on 360s ..

never seen blocks and alot more smooth over ps3s HDMI 1080P upscale

My PS3 hard drive crashed.... not sure why exactly, but I can only assume I'm one of the very very very unlucky few.

These things can't be broke. They are like the chuck norris of video game consoles. Hell you can't even throw them way. I was mad one night becuase I lost a game of piyotama and swore off the infernal ps3. I threw it in the trash, then after dumping some kentucky fried chicken leftovers on top of it, I took it out to the dumpster. When I came back inside, to my horror, the thing was back on my entertainment center, all pristine and shit.

nine months and two days after i received that black lovely machine, i discover it melted. i brought it from asia to europe. it is still working, but because that machine is so precious (japanese version is a precious - my precious), i ended up buying another ps3 to get the shell. besides, i will be capable of playing both region a and b, japanese and european games.

I bought one from Gamestop in April. Exactly one week after I got it, the hard drive got corrupted and could not be restored. I took it back, got a replacement, and that one has worked without a flaw since (knock on wood).

i could find no way yo break my ps3......i pour water through the air vents

while it was on and nothing happen...i guess the heat evaporated the H2O...

My friend just bought one 80gig on ebay and it broke after just two weeks.Seems like it is the laser not working.
