Hi Everyone, I'm new here! Just thought I'd Say Hi - Blu-ray Forum

Hi all.

I've been observing from the outside for a time now. But today i started my Blu-Ray collection with 300 and Superman Returns, so it was inevitable that I should come join forums as it'll be cool to talk to people who all love the Blu.

Anyway that's all i have to say for now. Look forward to getting to know the people here on Blu-Ray.com.

Welcome..better to be in front of the shadows than hiding....you might want to pick up Casino Royale also which as excellent PQ AND SQ

If you like CGI animation I'd recommend getting one of those too (like Chicken Little, Happy Feet, Open Season, etc) (or Cars or Ratatouille coming soon ) as a starter for eye candy

Oh yes Deciazulado I'm a big fan of Animation... Well Pixar at least, I love all their films

Got my Eye on Cars Blu-Ray. Looks like it's gonna be a gd one.

I have heard good things about Surf's Up also and I picked it up this morning from WalMart for 24.95 which I think today is the last day for the sale.

Just normally (Depending on where you ordered it) In my experience a lot of stuff i pre-order arrives two days b4 the release date. Which is sweet.

I think you should go to frys pick up an hd dvd player and smash it. before you buy it that is. then go get some of the b1g1 free movies.

Disney is supposed to release a boxed set. But, next week Best Buy has a deal on these two films. Buy 1 Get 1 Free! I would go that route and save some coin.

If you're lucky enough to have a Meijer store in your area they have these two Blu-rays Buy 1 Get 1 Free this week!

Unfortunately being in Jolly old England *LOL* There aren't that many deals to be had on BLu-Ray at the moment. There will be loads by Xmas tho i guarantee.

Although the prices online are very competitive.

'300' & 'Superman Returns' eh? Well, at least you have some room for growth in the

factor. Both of those films have short-comings in PQ compared to some of the other titles out there. Don't get me wrong, they look great, but not nearly anywhere as good as Casino Royale, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Planet Earth, Apocalypto, Flags Of Our Fathers, Happy Feet, The Prestige, and Swordfish. These are the top PQ rating titles in my 100+ collection.
