I think you just like to say, "Blu-ray sales pound HD DVD"...it's good news, just worry about Google searches being higher for HD DVD.

I wouldn't put much faith in that metric. Does anyone who doesn't already own Blu-ray know how to spell it correctly? I would bet the searches for "blue ray" are considerably higher than for the correct spelling. And "HD DVD" is a combination of two very common search terms "HD" and "DVD," with queries that likely have nothing to do with the format.

Okay, I wasn't sure how to read the graphs, but I am assuming that the lower number for Blu Ray is what is left in stock? Please correct me if I am wrong. However the one at the top (with the multi colored blocks) was very easy to understand. I just hope that Warner is keeping a close eye on these charts. After all didn't they say that they would be watching Q4 sales?

Those charts are only for amazon. They probably have a ton of their own charts and statistics. Which have got to be in favor of blu cuz it's so damn good.

This is only because the "DVD" word is included of "HD DVD"

if you add all the searches for variants of HD-DVD, Blu-ray there are many more for Blu-ray (blue ray, blueray, bluray blue-ray, blu ray etc). Combine theses with the HD-DVD variants (HD DVD, HDDVD) and the google shows much higher figures for Blu-ray.

Its interesting that eproduct wars remove the different spellings and just included correctly spelt searches which favour HD-DVD.

Its biased.

There are less searches on Google because people already know its better with minimal research.

I think it's higher because of people who know nothing about either format.

When I acquired an HD TV, and I knew *nothing* about Blu-Ray, HD-DVD, or anything other than I was searching for a higher definition DVD, HD DVD is the first google search I made. So I counted for their metric while not even trying to search for that product specifically.

Is anyone really that surprised that sales of Blu are outselling HD-DVD? I mean this has been the norm for quite some time now and it's great to see that trend continue.

This is again a good sign, as they were behind by a slim percentage yesterday. Also keep in mind they don't have a BOGO deal going either.

Can you imagine if Paramount never defected to HD-DVD and we had Transformers on Blu? We would have destroyed them them by an even higher percentage.

Yup, Paramount deal was a good move by HD-DVD, in that it bought them a few more months.
