Default Tons of HD Transformers sitting on the BB shelf.

For what its worth, I was in BB today and bought The Fountain, Eyes Wide Shut, Apocalypto and the Spiderman Trilogy. A woman looking for the HD Transformers was asking the floor guy if they had any copies. The floor rep said "right over here." "there's a whole bunch of them." She then proceeded to ask if the movie had "those black bars" on it. (how fitting and typical.) After they left, I checked and sure enough. Four stacks of them on the shelf. I guestimate around 40 copies. Looked like they overbought copies of this title and makes me wonder if this movie has really sold all that well on HD DVD. Understand, my BB sucks when it comes to getting enough blu titles here to accomodate the BD populace. I'm confident that if that was a blu title, she would have been SOL in her HD quest for Transfomers with or without those pesky black bars at the top and bottom of the movie.

I wonder the same thing. The week 300 was released, 3 of my local Best Buys were sold out. It took me almost 2 weeks to obtain a copy.

I am in Best Buy once a week. It appears that they sell BD very well, and have expanded the shelf space of BD disks.

Yes. They did the same here. I was in the middle of the isle, turned around to leave after selecting four titles and there was another full half section of BDs as compared to HD DVDs 1/2 section. Cool!

Same here in Toronto. Everywhere I've gone (especially Wal-Mart), I've seen tonnes - between 30 and 40 copies of the HD-DUD sitting on the shelf.

I guess they were expecting something big with that title.... that'll learn 'em.

BTW... tell me when Michael Bay actually MADE a good movie...

Maybe they can give away an extra copy of Transformers with each HD DVD player sold this Christmas. That will mean there will only be about 39 copies left at my BB.

just shows the inconsistency of the market....all of my best buys (4) sold out of their transformers within 5 days. i know this because i went there almost a week after it came out and none of them had them. i finally was able to pick it up when they got more in the next week.

i have a feeling my best buys are going to have this problem with the spiderman blu rays (overstock), because each of them except one has 60 3 packs on the shelves and the same amount of number 3s...i picked mine up today, can't wait to watch...go blu

Seen a ton of Transformers HD just chillin' out on the shelf with a quarter inch of dust on top of them at Fry's.
