Another FACT HD DVD's 30GB is not enough! Death Proof ->

Here in germany Death Proof is published by "Senator" the good thing is, Senator is not Like other german Studios or like Warner Bros. who put on the Blu-ray disc the exact same Transfer like the one from the HD DVD.

Senator is doing diferent transfers for both Formats based on their technical specifications.

Here we go:

Death Proof Details:

Blu-ray:
PCM 5.1 in German
PCM 5.1 in English
DTS HD 5.1 in German
DTS HD 5.1 in English

HD DVD:
Dolby Digital 5.1 in German
Dolby Digital 5.1 in English
DTS Digital 5.1 in English
DTS HD 5.1 in German

As you can see, the Blu-ray Version get 4 HD Audio formats, the HD Version only one, because of the lack of space and bandwith!

Yes releasedate is Jan.07.08, the good thing, Senators releases are region free!

I'm more interested in the video bitrate breakdown COMBINED with the audio breakdown. I sa that because HD DVD supporters would argue that all those audio streams are not needed. Therefore, I'm interested in the PQ and SQ of each with bitrates included.

Anyone know if this will be region free? If it is I'll import it ASAP! I loved Death Proof!! The soundtrack alone is worth hearing in PCM 5.1!!

Yes me too, Pans Labyrinth wich is also distirbuted by Senator here in germany, it has a very high Bitrate up to 40mbps+ , i hope senator will encode a diferent videotransfer for death proof as well.

Speaking of Death Proof, I really liked the whole Grindhouse experience in the movie theaters. I am not to interested in teh indiv releases. When this comes out as a box set I will pick it up. Hopefully on Blu.

i don t know for the blu-ray release but can someone confirm my says?

1 - theatrical release in France has been done in 2 times ( "death proof" and later "planet terror" ), was it the same in us or other countries?? think i heard that the 2 films were shown together

2 - concerning the blu release, will it be "just" death proof? or will we get "planet terror" with??

2. here in germany iboth movies will be released separately on blu-ray

It's nice to hear someone in the world besides R&B Films is going for seperate specs. Hopefully Death Proof will get seperate encodes also. As someone said, it would also be nice to see Planet Terror too.
