"A toast to the power of the Lannister children; The Cripple, The Dwarf, and the Mother of Maddness."

That cracks me up so much I've had to watch it three times.

One thing from the preview that makes me curious - the shadow of the dragon at the end. That is King's Landing, isn't it? I know we have seen that shot in previews before of the whole season, but the way the music cues up there, it makes me think it's part of this episode. I presume those dragons can fly pretty fast - I don't think it's unreasonable to think one of them may have scampered off for a field trip since they have been misbehaving lately. I'd kill to see the look on folks faces the first time they see a dragon.

That won't happen this season. There's no physical way for it to happen.

This was really needed By this thread's logic, every show with a thread needs a second one to discuss the latest episode.

I'm betting that it's simply a vision by Bran.

Yes, it is, IMO. The original thread is so full of posts debating spoilers, it's gotten to be a bore, because it doesn't discuss the show anymore. Maybe, this thread will get back to discussing the show, which is all I want to do.

Not every show is as divisive and unique as GoT.

If folks don't feel they want to use it, no one is twisting arms. But if folks just want to open up a thread after the show airs and discuss it without being subject to dozens of posts of people complaining and having wildly varying ideas of what is "OK" or not to discuss - here it is.

In this case it wasn't a decision made out of logic, but necessity. I was just going to not discuss the show at all on the site, this is my last ditch effort - I wonder how many folks have seen a half-dozen pages of bickering and just closed the thread because it wasn't meeting the needs of anyone, really, at that point.

LOL that has me wondering at the range on those suckers, LOL. How long they can go without refueling, etc.

Good call - that seems like the logical choice.

Watching this preview, and considering last week's episode, it's pretty impressive how large the cast has become - maybe that's why they have to keep killing them off, haha. There are quite a number of characters that look to show up this week that we didn't see in the premiere, and it felt like we had a pretty full premiere to begin with.

Thanks - me, too.

EDIT: And besides, I wrote...a poem (!!) about what I think is going on in in tomorrow night's episode that I'm going to post after it airs - and that's a train wreck that needs to happen so I can complete my transformation into the Fool

I wish all these threads would be deleted. It disgusts me with all the attention this show gets and how the one thread is even pinned at the top of the forum. When other just as big, if not bigger, shows did not get that treatment including the final season of Breaking Bad, the series finale/final episodes of How I Met your Mother, etc. Absolutely disturbing.

I've never seen a single episode of Breaking Bad. As for How I met Your Mother, that was a good show but I didn't like the way it ended. 3 plot twists in a single episode is fine, but what's not fine is we wasted 9 years to see how Ted met the mother, and it turns out she's been dead for the majority of those years.

The implication here being that you feel the book thread should be deleted as well?

There are two distinct fan bases that watch this show. Those who have read the books and know the full scope of A Song of Ice and Fire (that's been written so far), and TV-show only viewers who are not currently aware of anything beyond Two Swords - nor are they familiar with every facet of the vast mythology as found in the novels.

It's plain to me that you think those two camps shouldn't have separate discussion environments - you've made that abundantly clear. But a lot of us have not agreed with that position, and thus the thread has flourished.

I personally think this thread probably shouldn't exist, as it's come about because of a disagreement over whether discussion of an already aired episode constitutes a "spoiler". Both this thread and the original thread service the same audience - hence why I think it's redundant. That said, as the person who started the book thread, I won't press the issue (to do so would be extremely hypocritical of me). The moderators will decide what they want to do in this instance.

Hmm, maybe HIMYM has more of a fantasy vibe than I thought if the mother was dead before Ted met her...

How I Met Your Mother is a joke. It was an okay show to watch when bored but, nothing more. The acting was fine(except for NPH, but that was mostly due to the writing), but the writing was bad. Breaking Bad is great, but not as good as GOT.

The whole show is a giant flashback. He's telling his kids in the future (I think it's around 2025?) how he met their mother in 2013. But as it turns out, she has already been dead about 6 years prior to the start of him telling them the story.

I find it hilarious that this thread started because people were complaining about spoilers and someone literally just spoiled the entire plot and premise of HIMYM.
