What makes loading time long?? - Blu-ray Forum

I don't know if this has been covered but I'm so curious to know about this.
Why is loading time of BD (also HDD) much longer than dvd? Loding time of each title also varies. Is it because of much information of the disk or security checking or something else?

It's loading assets, java, and benchmarking your player so if say you own a cheap player in the future, it'll load a lower-test menu that it can handle better.
