ONKYO HT-SR800 7.1 Channel Home Theatre System

I just bought this system from Circuit City for a total price of $434 (included tax and a 10% discount). While all the reviews for this system were glowing on their site - I just thought I would inquire as to anyone's direct experience with this system and find out what you all thought.

My system currently consists of these really nice (but somewhat oversized) BOSE 901 black lacquer speakers - and other non-descript added speakers. I thought it time to fully update the home theatre since I am so happy with my 61" Samsung DLP and the Sony 301.

Any experience with this ONKYO?

I've had this system since April or so. Its very nice for a HTIB. However, I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but the receiver is only HDMI PASS THROUGH. Which means that you cannot actually use the receiver to process audio thru HDMI. You will need to use a fiber optic or digital coax for your audio. OR buy a Panasonic Blu-ray player so you can get 7.1ch PCM to the receiver via 7.1ch analog inputs.

Ditto, i have the same system, and found found about it after i had it in my house. Didn't feel like shipping back and stuff.
So pretty much the HDMI is just for video, there.
