Default Let's form a Blu Ray "union"--no PCM!!

When Blu Ray first came out, nearly every movie had an uncompressed PCM track. Now, I am noticing a number of new releases that do NOT have an uncompressed PCM track. Even worse, a number have nothing more than Dolby Digital 5.1--a very poor substitute. Not even TrueHD or DTS, etc.

Someone gave me the "Ocean's" box set. ALL of the discs are only Dolby Digital.

It is like they are dumbing Blu Ray down thinking people are only interested in a better picture.

I think we need to form some kind of advocacy group that can press the studios to release all BD with at least the uncompressed 5.1. Never again only DD. As individuals, there is nothing we can do. Maybe as group with one point person, we can have an impact.

I don't know about others here on the forum, but the sound almost means more to me than the picture--though the combination of both really makes it home "Theatre."
