Lightbulb Sony Playstation 3 Blu-Ray Bluetooth Remote

My biggest question, for those of us with the Sony Playstation 3 using the Sony Bluetooth Blu-Ray Remote, are there any alternatives to this remote? For example I have a programable Logitech Harmony 880 remote but this remote does not offer Bluetooth, and therefor I must use two remotes. Are there any alternatives to using the Bluetooth remote other than the Playstation 3 controler, or have you worked out a way to eliminate this remote? It seems silly but being I invested the money in the 880 remote it seems silly to not try to just use one remote for everything. All my other devices are being controled by the 880 so its just an inconvienance to have the extra remote lying around instead of being neatly tucked away in a drawer. Are there any IR or RF remotes that can connect to the PS3 via usb?

Although I am not a universal remote user, and I do not know that much about what is out there... what I do know is that there are some cheap and expensive work arounds.
The cheap one, which might not work that well for BD playback, is to get a PS2-USB converter, buy the PS2 DVD remote, and use that on the PS3. It is possible then to use a universal remote with it, but like I said, i do not know how it will work with BD playback.
I also remember hearing that there is a remote out or coming out soon that has Bluetooth capability, but from what I hear, it is expensive. It does both Bluetooth and IR. However I know next to nothing about it, and hopefully someone else on here can tell you more.

Check this out. I don't think it's bluetooth, but is controlled via the charge unit which connects directly to the PS3 via USB. PLus it looks prety cool!!!

There is a universal remote add-on you can get for like $15 from newegg, you'll just chuck the remote that comes with it. check out this thread for more info... around post #10

Here's one from Nyko.

Haven't tried it so I have no idea how well it works. Don't think it supports turning on/off the PS3 though. Basically, people get this and then use a Harmony remote to control things. It's probably the same way using the PS2 type solution.

Here is an article describing how to do it using the PS2 stuff.

The Nyko dongle works great. There used to be a few issues, but it seems that recent PS3 updates have resolved them. The only think you can't do is turn the system on (or off for that matter). There's no PS button support.
