Now that Warner Video has seen the light and have become Blu-ray exclusive do you think the copy of Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire that we received in the box set will be a collector’s item or just junk??
I am betting it will be a collector’s item, but at the most it will be turning point as to why Warner went Blu! |

I plan on picking up an hd dvd player once this war is 100% settled. We have in our game room a laserdisc, 8-track, cassette, vhs and beta players on display along with some antique cameras.
Ill pick up Transformers on red once it's out on blu since that is the title that will most be associated with the losing formats "savior title." Sorry Mr Bay but it's true but hey you been vindicated and lets hope they do give you $120 million for you to donate to charity. |

IMO it's just trash. However, when people start dumping their HD DVD collections, players, etc. to make the switch to Blu, and when shops do their dumping, there will be some good deals for those who want to buy "ephemera". Nothing of long-term collector's value. (Nothing that will increase in value, either.)

For it to be a collectors item, it should be the laser disc equivalent of it's time. I do not regard HD-DVD as so. Blu-ray is the home theatre renaisance I have been waiting for as I feel the past 2-4 years have been uninteresting for home-theatre. A lot of stuff coming out was just cheap and tacky and had stupid gimmicks. Now, with bluray, people care about QUALITY again.

![]() ...maybe Blu-ray can incorporate 'community viewing' into its arsenal ot make the new converts feel at home? second thought, never mind. Comunity viewing is just a bad idea...nothing like accidently connecting while you're trying to watch your porn in peace. ![]() |

I wanted to sell my player(with matrix/smallville and heroes, I paid $155 total)
But the GFs dad wants the player for some reason. Dang it... I am sure I could probably get what I paid. |
