Thumbs up Congratulations to Blu-ray.com on being the premiere online High Definition website

Without a doubt www.blu-ray.com over the last year has become the premiere online high definition website for news, rumours and information regarding the HD DVD vs. Blu-ray format war and all things high definition.

The staff and the insiders here have done an awesome job, as have the posters on here who have stood their ground and strived to spread the truth and fight misinformation wherever possible.

I would encourage everyone to spread the word about www.blu-ray.com and these forums to those wanting to know more about Blu-ray Disc and would encourage the insiders here to continue to consider this the #1 place on the internet to post as well.

OMG!! Add this to the list of threads we don't need another one of!!

1. Warner going blu threads
2. Paramount going blu threads
3. Salad Tossing threads (Did we really need one more congrats thread? Really?)

I understand that everyone has been overly excited of the serious of events that have snowballed since last friday, but it has created a massive amount of repeat and low quality threads. I have to read through 20 to find one good one to participate in.

Congrats to everyone!!!

Mostly to you, though, doby..you have gone out into other forums and helped this fight more than most. I have always enjoyed your posts on AVS and even on Michael Bay's own site. You single-handedly held down the fort for us. I think Dobyblue deserves special recognition from this site!!

LIES ALL LIES.

AVSFORUM IS THE BASTION OF KNOWLEDGE. WITHOUT AVS I WOULDN'T KNOW THAT VC-1 IS THE BEST, THAT HD DVD IS THE ULTIMATE HDM EXPERIENCE AND THAT MICROSOFT DOWNLOADING WILL BANKRUPT THE EVIL DRM SONY EMPIRE!

THANK YOU AMIR, RDJAM, ENDERLE AND TO ALL THE 360 FANBOTS THAT WAGED A WAR AGAINST EVIL BDA PROPOGANDA!

No Trauma, No stress!!

I've spent a lot of extra mula in the last 3 days on new blu movies since the announcement.

While I anticipated a lot of new threads from from former HD Dud users as we will increase our members here and they defect, I was not prepared for all the new useless repeat threads from current members.

It's like everyone wants to be the first to post about something anymore. Creating a lot of sizzle, but NO steak!! I'm having to cut through a lot of Fat to find any meat right now in these forums!!

People are excited, that's all. Give 'em a break. In a few weeks, everyone and everything will be Blu and then all we'll get is, "So, when's Star Wars coming to Blu?"

In my experience that's the nature of internet forums, period: everyone has an opinion and the opportunity to voice them. If all you're looking for is news, you'd be better served with a different approach.
