How much do you hate sony

hey,

I know the title is controversial being that we support bluray, but i ran into a very hard headed guy at Best Buy and he he was looking at the BD section and here is what i got from him while listening.

He was about to buy Blade Runner on HDDVD and I saw him and said that "Did you know that WARNER BROS is a BD exclusive starting from june first and he said to me i dont care" I said "why?" he said "personally i like HDDVD and would rather buy the item on HDDVD"

Not to mention the fact that he already said that BD is winning the war "in other words he said knows that HDDVD is losing the format war, yet he is very optimistic, which doesn't make sense to me."

Anyways i had a good talk with him and found out that he just purchased a samsung BDP player yet he doesn't give a crap about the format. he said to me thta he hated Sony and MS. that they are both nothing but a piece of crap corp. and they want nothing but to confuse the consumers yet he supports HDDVD and is okay with BD.

so WHAT IS THE SOLUTION WHEN RUNNING INTO AN IDIOT LIKE THAT?

HOW WOULD YOU EXPLAIN TO SUCH A PERSON THAT BD IS THE WAY TO GO?

You cannot do anything about them. If they think that BD=Sony then they are a lost cause for now. Just tell them to look on the web and see who owns the most patents for Blu-ray.

I am not a big Sony fan but they do somethings right.
TVs and game systems. But other than those two things I donot buy anything they make.

I hate hate sony, meaning I love sony.

what I hate from sony (though I love Sony):
advertisement on films (sony vaio, sony eriksson, Sony BD player, etc)
overpriced VAIO
overpriced items.

despite that, I'd take sony as my first choice for every electronic products with the exception of laptops (always HP)

I have no reason to hate Sony, and for the record though I don't approve of all Microsofts business decisions, I don't hate them either.

Sony and Microsoft are corporations. They produce products. You don't like the products, then don't buy the product. Hating one or loving another makes as much sense as licking the anus of a dog with worms.

Ditto, they make great TV's (although overpriced compared to other comparable models) and game systems. That's all in my opinion. Everything else I steer clear of, especially their audio equipment...yikes.
