I really think they should have made a criterion collection 4k vol 1 box. in my mind its a missed opportunity

Menace To Society is really underrated and might stick out from the others but it's going to be great to revisit on 4K!

So what are you hardcore collectors with thousands of Blu Rays doing with your existing collection since it seems you're eager to replace your entire collection with 4K? Are you building a fire this winter to keep yourself warm with the $10Ks you spent on Blu Rays.

I'm just going to LOL at all the people who keep saying how Criterion never needs to go to 4k or it's all just fine or whatever.

I give credit to Criterion for picking a great slate of movies for their first 4k releases. None are ones I want, but I acknowledge their wide acclaim.

I'm dumping as many of my DVDs and blu-rays I no longer want on the one cinephile I know who still hasn't upgraded to blu-ray yet as he doesn't want to rebuy everything.

when I replace a blu ray with a 4k, I give away or sell the blu ray version

Same thing we did with our DVDs… and laser discs…. and VHS tapes… I didn’t choose the collector life, the collector life chose me!
