Default Crimson Tide has great PQ

http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film2/DVDReviews35/crimson_tide_blu-ray.htm
Says the PQ is top notch and very sharp details. Disney

It's nice to have a release this week of high caliber in the PQ department.

Come on WB your encodes just flat out blow...hurry up and ditch HD. Atleast we can count on your sister company New Line to give us high quality VC-1 encodes.

P.S. Found this too:

There are moments when I felt the high definition image to be almost too sharp – certainly things would never have been in such clear relief in a theatrical presentation regardless of how alert the projectionist was.

If you can tolerate the heightened definition that comes with the Blu-ray, this is one hell of a thrill ride. Highly recommended.
Now that is funny

Disney/Touchstone always delivers the goods not only on the visuals but also on the audio, uncompressed PCM any one.

Default You want to talk about suspense?

Live Free or Die Hard used to be my favorite Blu. It had everything I wanted at the time, ridiculous action, a good story, intensity around every corner. Now take all that and multiply it. Crimson Tide has one of the best stories you could imagine. Great acting from two Academy Award winners. The movie really gets started about 30 minutes in and simply doesn't slow down. If you haven't been able to tell, I'd never seen this before today. It is a must have. Usually when I'm watching a Blu, every five minutes, I'll remember to bask in the a/v quality that is Blu (not that it isn't top notch), this movie kept me from doing that because it is literally edge-of-your-seat entertainment. I finally took a breath when it was over. My new favorite Blu.

This movie was a blind buy for me, but Best Buy had it on sale last week for $14.99 so I decided to get it and Meet The Robinsons($19.99). Needless to say I wasn't disappointed at all and thought Crimson Tide was a great release. I have yet to be dissapointed by the BD's put out by Disney. sotw123 try clicking the Amazon movie deal at the top right corner from the home page, I think it's still less than $15 there.

Great movie--watched it on Blu the other day. I think it had been so long since I had seen it, the last time I watched it I don't think I knew who James Gandolfini was!

Well 15 dollars is about 8 pounds which is mega cheap so id snap it up at that but the cheapest id be able to get it from here in the uk is 16 pounds which isnt cheap really considering i want other titles and it all adds up.I think its region locked in the usa not 100 percent sure i might be able to import.
