Default DMP-BD30 / Samsung HDTV Incompatibility (What are my alternatives) Please Read Thanks

Hi, I love my DMP-BD30 Panasonic Prof 1.3 blu ray player. Thte picture quality on 1080p24 is beautiful, but I am very disappointed that it keeps flickering and flashing every time.

I've read in great details all the posts regarding these issues. I have the Samsung 4066F model, a beautiful display with the BD30.

If I were to purchase Onkyo SR605, take HDMI out from BD30 to Onkyo, and then from Onkyo to Samsung will it solve the problem? I don't want to shell out another $500 (geez).

I have 9 days to return the player. I wonder if Panasonic will ever fix the issue. They have the DMP-BD50 coming out which is Profile 2.0, but I'm wondering if the same problem will exist with Samsung incompatibility.

When I set the modes to 1080p/24 on the DMP-BD30 and watch the actual movie, I don't have any problems. The image is stable; however, the minute I switch to the bonus features which are in 1080i or 480i (SD), the flickering begins, so it seems to be an issue with the resolution and i/p settings.

Has anyone tried hooking up your BD30 to Onkyo then to Samsung? I would love to know. I'm trying to make the best decision possible. I don't need a game console like a PS3, and the Sony's are no good because they don't have bitstream output.

Or wait for the BD50?

Help and thanks to all you people
