Default What's with the jump in prices??

When Blu-Ray first came out, the movie prices were a bit high... now that the format war is just about over, what's with the jump in prices? Warner's new releases like "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" is $36...Sony seems to be about $39 while Fox goes for the jugular at $40. Ouch!!!

Where are you shopping?

I was just at Fry's and the most expensive "regular" blu is running at $28, but the average is anywhere from $19.99 to $21.99.

Can't blame the manufacturers for wanting to make up for some of their lost revenue due to the war and all those hot deals that were out there and under priced discs. It will come back down at some point.

Those are MSRP prices, you almost never see anything at that price.
E.G. Resident Evil 3 - MSRP $38.96 / Amazon price $26.95

(and that title is on the high price limit atm).
