Cool 2.0 profile/DTS/HD Master/High Resolution Update for PS3?

I would like to inquire about the possiblity of any news regarding the 2.0 BD/Live update for the PS3, and whether it might include a fully compliant update for DTS/HD Master/High Resolution (not just core), and if and when the questions in the Insiders thread might start receiving answers from the Sony Computer Insider, on this subject?:

We've been told the BD-Live update is coming but no official date. I'm not sure if there is an official answer on DTS-HD MA. Some said there has been an official statement saying it's coming but I don't think I've seen it yet. I do remember seeing a post, a long while back, that they were working on it so I think most of us think it's coming at some point. Someone asked about "high res" recently in the insiders thread. Below is the response.

Thank you for the response, just trying to get any news possible, although it seems there is a lack thereof no matter where you search. I don't understand why it's so difficult to get a straight answer on this subject from Sony, it seems a simple yes it is possible, and it will come , or no it's not capable {for whatever reason} and thats that.

We know BD Live is coming, just not when, Sony will announce it just before it gets released on their blog if you follow that

Sony has the largest share of the Blu Ray players in the world. They are very conscious of the other manufacturers in the Blu Ray Association. As the leading company in the BDA, they do not want to offend others. Although software may already be available (as demonstrated in CES), my guess is that they are waiting for the other manufacturers to market their BD Live machines before announcing the firmware update for PS3.

Nail on the head. A few of the insiders have hinted this is the reason.
