World Trade Center gets 5/5 on HTS

Now I know that this 50GB disc could have held a lossless audio track, even if uncompressed PCM, without any compromise to video. So why Paramount is only doing lossy audio with all their BD and HD DVD releases, I can only guess. HD DVD supporters are probably used to it on that format. But with Fox, Sony, MGM, and Disney supporting lossless audio across the board on all their BD titles, and Lions Gate starting to support PCM too, Warner and Paramount are the only studios supporting on the format, that haven't made lossless audio a standard feature on all their releases

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Anyway this disc gets 5/5 in every category except bonus, where it's 4.5/5

MMmmmmm cant wait to see it. liked this movie alot when it came out in theaters. i just got my comfirmation that my order for WTC just shipped a few minutes ago. together with 7 more titles plus picking up last samurai/nacho libre/fantastic 4 at bestbuy when they open today. Ahh ill be in bluray heaven this week , good thing im on vacation so i can enjoy all the video goodies.

But when there's more to look at, that's all you want to do, just hit pause and gaze in awe, running out of the room to share your find with others. This is demo grade material for sure. The video is extremely crisp and hotly contrasted much like M:I:3, but with more shadow detail.

Damn MPEG-2. It will ruin the format for sure.
