Default Blu Success strategy?

I'd like to hear from people in-the-know about business/retail stradegies with regard to advancing Blu's success.

What would happen if the studios released the BD 30 days BEFORE the DVD? Would that create a sense of urgency in those folks that are hungering for a specific release, possibly pushing them toward adoption of Blu?

Is there a business drawback to this that I dont see?

Educate me please...any thoughts/comments welcome.

That's actually an excellent suggestion! Reward the early adopters, and encourage new adopters with "early release" format exclusivity. It has a zero-cost factor, and is a win-win for all. Great idea!

Not going to happen. They do one promotional push, and one only on the title. THey're not going to split their advertising dollars. Someone had this idea about every 2 weeks
