Firmware Page is way out of date! - Blu-ray Forum

Didn't realize Blu-ray.com had a "Firmware" page (Great Idea! BTW

) and I checked the "Firmware" link on the top header today for the first time.

Immediately noticed that you still have the Samsung BD-P1000 Firmware Update listed as:

BD-P1000 Firmware Update (US & Canada Only) (v1.3) Released December 11, 2007

That link takes you to the page titled: "BD-P1000 Firmware Update (US & Canada Only) (v1.3)" and the Download-link named: Download BD-P1000 Firmware Update (US & Canada Only) (v1.3)

Fortunately the Download-link takes you to the Samsung site with the correct BD-P1000 V1.5 firmware. {BTW, It has been updated twice since V1.3 - once in February & once in March

}

The info. really needs to be updated to give people a heads-up that there is a more recent update.

Samsung haven't been superb in updating their firmware, so we had pretty much given up on the poor BD-P1000

We update the firmware almost always within a couple of days within the release, but if we haven't updated it yet, the firmware links take you to the manufacturer's BD player mainpage, so you will always get the correct/latest update anyway.
