Default HDTVS and VCR's

NOT A GOOD MIX! I still have about 100 VHS tapes im hanging on to for whatever reason, I grabbed my VCR which I had mothballed and thought id see how it looked. OMG! talk about painful. I think id have more fun taking the VCR outside and beating it with a sledgehammer. so the VCR goes back to being mothballed. Ill probably take the VHS tapes and the vcr to the goodwill and donate them to the less fortunate.

Like a year ago, I donated over 30 Disney cartoon / family VHS movies to my son's pre school (they have a VCR / DVD combo player)... A great move

My wife still has every animated Disney feature ever released on VHS, and I have Zorro and X-Files on VHS. Some of the Disney flix are still sealed in the original wrapper. I am planning on putting them up on E-bay once I have replaced them with Blu-Ray. I figure someone will at least buy the Disney flix as collector's items.

Maybe ill donate the videos to the salvation army.. I have a few Disney stuff but not much. Nothing I could donate to children’s resource center.

Not sure what the motion flow is going to do for VHS... I had it hooked into my Integra dtc 9.8 which up converts the signal to 1080p. I tried hooking it straight to the TV it looked even worse. My JVC Hifi VCR looks mighty tired sitting on my relatively new entertainment center. I decided it looked better in the closet.
A lot of the tapes I have are old. One of which I taped a special on discovery called Daylight robbery. Its hilarious they put squirrels through these mazes etc.I have heard it wont ever be rebroadcast which sucks. The recording I made does have an ad for Ross Perot running for president which shows how dated the tape is. I have an extensive collection of the X-files on VHS and some other movies that would not be worth upgrading to blue. (Mad max etc).
I have over 250 standard DVDs which are sitting in my pioneer 301 disc changer. I got burned pretty hard on laserdiscs... i had about 40 of them when it finally flopped. I sold the lot of them for 60 bucks on eBay minus 3 movies on laserdisc. I sold those 3 and got over 400 dollars for the 3 of them. (Original star wars trilogy) someone just had to have it.
